What Customers Say About Sirius One SV1 Satellite Radio with Car Kit:

it comes with everything you need. this is a very simple plug and play sirius receiver with the easiest install into the tightest spots.

The wife liked the programming so much that I had to buy her a Sportster 3 to get my radio back. The screen does suck, and trying to see what channel you're on when you should be driving has inspired me to upgrade to an easier to see and use radio like I bought the wife. It has yet to fail. Once in a while, you'll loose signal if you go thru a bunch of overpasses in a row, or thru a tunnel, but if the antenna has a clear shot of the sky, you'll get reception with this thing.I bought it at a Petro Vend truck stop just outside of Reno Nevada - gave about 60 bucks if memory serves.

Here's a short list of what this poor little radio has endured:In the first month I owned it, it shook off the suction cup mount and went display first off the dash of a 2004 Freightliner and into a quart cup of very hot coffee WHILE IT WAS STILL ON. The radio has been dropped on that floor countless times, a couple of times the cover popped off and I glued it back on with my wife's hot melt glue gun -- still works. I bought mine in April of '06 and have given it nothing but abuse.

And yes, I get signal in Mazatlan. The only places I have had trouble getting signal was on a stretch of interstate in Utah that goes thru a very deep canyon, and some of the secondary highways in central Oregon that are overgrown with trees. I just hope the new one proves to be as reliable as the one I already have. I yanked the plug out of the lighter socket, fished it out of the coffee and tossed it on the dash with the defroster blasting on it to dry it out.

Tried it the next day and it worked -- the flavor of the truck stop coffee was not appreciably altered. It has been to Mazatlan Mexico twice, and in the house down there, like most Mexican homes, we have stone tile floors - nothing soft in that place.

Can't beat the price for a complete car installation package along with a decent radio.

I'm a Sirius subscriber for the talk radio programming and this unit delivers suitable sound for that. If that is your preference, I would recommend a more sophisticated/expensive unit.maybe something hardwired into your vehicle. This is my second unit of this model. However, I would never buy this if I inteded on listening to music. Bottom line: sufficient for talk radio, bad for music, can't beat the price. The first one lasted over a year. I had no apprehensions about buying this one to replace it.

Amazing. I was searching for a good price on an antenna for my Sirius car receiver. I was shocked to see I could buy an entire new system through Amazon for less money than the antenna alone from most other vendors.
